「當塵埃落定」（Where the Dust Settles），由Contemporary by U邀請英國藝術家皮帕‧埃爾-卡迪‧布郎（Pippa El-Kadhi Brown）舉辦首次在台個展，展覽日期於2022年2月18日（五）至5月29日（日），歡迎各位前來現場體驗皮帕對家和空間的想像，感受畫中自由、奔放且俏皮的奇幻元素。

通過本次展覽，皮帕以充滿熱情、跳耀的色彩以及具有神秘感的符號，共同譜寫出空間與人之間的關係，探討對於家和精神世界的延展性。皮帕的作品以「家」為主，引領出家作為空間的理解和想像，在抽象的繪畫作品中參雜了符號學的表現，展示了符號作為傳遞訊息的象徵管道，並藉由多種形式呈現，從具體的形象過渡至抽象和奇幻，皮帕描繪了家的親密和裸露，並賦予了空間全新的意義。

觀者能從皮帕的作品中察覺到許多象徵性元素的產生，比如碗盤、花器、桌子、食物等物件，以及人物型體出現於抽象空間的展示，使作品充斥著豐富的暗示與家的痕跡。皮帕擅長以隨性、奔放、自由的筆觸構築作品，而這自然與真誠流露的情感，如同暗潮洶湧的浪潮般在作品之下浮現，看似童趣的風格卻也不失成熟的表現性，十足展現了皮帕的創作能力。

從作品之中，不難發現畫面空間的配置皆以一種協調卻突兀的方式建構著，在混亂和有序的構圖裡，我們能夠嗅出屬於皮帕內心世界的情緒與驅動力，在抽象的型態中展現出藝術家最真實的意識面貌，同時讓觀者走近她的精神世界。

“Where the Dust Settles", Contemporary by U invites British artist Pippa El-Kadhi Brown to present her first solo exhibition in Taiwan. The exhibition will start from February 18th (Fri) to May 29th (Sun), 2022. We are pleased to welcome you to experience Pippa's imagination of home and space, and the free, spontaneous and playful fantasy elements in her paintings.

Through this exhibition, Pippa's passionate, dazzling colors and mysterious symbols together create a relationship between space and people, exploring the extensibility of home and the spiritual world.

Pippa's works focus on "home", leading to the understanding and imagination of home as a space. The abstract paintings are mixed with symbolic representations, showing symbols as a symbolic conduit for transmitting messages, and presented in various forms.

The viewer can detect the emergence of many symbolic elements in Pippa's work, such as dishes, flower vessels, tables, food and other objects, as well as the presence of human figures in abstract spaces, making the work rich with hints and traces of home. Pippa's natural and sincere emotions emerge underneath the works like a dark tidal wave, and the seemingly childlike style is also expressive and mature, demonstrating Pippa's creative ability.

In the chaotic and orderly compositions, we can smell the emotions and driving force of Pippa's inner world, revealing the artist's true consciousness in an abstract form and allowing the viewer to approach her spiritual world.
