“Ordinary Unordinaries” - a duo art exhibition, by two Japanese artists Yuuki Matsueda and Yu Uchida with similar background. Both artists draw inspiration from everyday or iconic objects and transform them into innovative creations showcased in this exhibition. Whether through familiar graphic designs or techniques that once captured the zeitgeist, these two artists employ their unique and adept methods to present their interpretations of the classic. Simultaneously, they delve into the interplay between two-dimensional and three-dimensional art.
Yuki Matsueda excels in using PET materials for his creations. He leverages the transparency of PET material found in everyday objects, making it seem as though these objects are breaking free from the confines of two-dimensional space.
On the other hand, Yu Uchida employs the pointillist technique favored by impressionist painters, combined with perforated metal mesh to craft multi-layered compositions, revealing the extraordinary aspects of everyday life subjects.
We cordially invite everyone to come and appreciate this exhibition. Viewing these artworks in person allows for a deeper appreciation of the delightful nuances contained within.
