Walking on a tightrope is not a straightforward process; it requires constant adjustment to continue moving forward without falling. Facing the setbacks and changes in life, only by continuously adjusting oneself can one avoid falling and prevent a fatal outcome. This series of sculptures are soft yet hard, simple yet complex, calm yet emotional, walking between contrasts to find one's own balance. The seemingly soft sculpture, supported by hard objects, creates an uncomfortable feeling, adding uniqueness and expansiveness to the sculpture, as if telling the endless contradictions, compromises, and balances in the world.
In addition to sculpture, Yu-Ting has also created a series of paintings on thin ceramic plates, with dreamlike subjects that immerse the viewer. Through this joint exhibition, "Contemporary by U," we sincerely invite you to explore Yu-Ting's unique style and imagination together with us.
