About the Artist

Haydonna was born in Madison, Wisconsin, USA, in 1991. After graduating from the School of Visual Arts (SVA) in Manhattan, New York, she returned to Korea and officially began her career as an artist under the name '하이다나' while also working as a creative director and graphic designer at TIN Studio. In 2020, inspired by her two Bichon Frises, she started experimenting with a style characterized by bold black lines and large color blocks, which has since become her signature style.

Artwork Statement

This piece captures the relaxed moments of watching TV with a pet. Simple orange lines and large yellow color blocks create a warm atmosphere, symbolizing the bright world through a pet’s eyes. The dog's movements are depicted in sequential segments, adding a sense of dynamic flow to the artwork, as if revealing layers of their emotions in real-time.
